Fit mechanical properties to DANTE material models using experimental or generated stress–strain data.
Mec Fit allows engineers to fit mechanical property data for the DANTE material database, such as flow stress curves, from experimental or JMatPro-generated datasets. The parameters fit from the tool can be used directly within DANTE FEA models to improve accuracy of thermal-stress predictions and distortion.
Mec Fit is a specialized fitting tool that enables users to calibrate the mechanical behavior of steel and other alloys for use in DANTE simulations. Using experimental stress–strain data or third-party generated curves, Mec Fit fits the parameters needed to capture elastic, plastic, and phase-dependent behavior across temperature ranges.
The result is a fully calibrated DANTE mechanical model that supports more accurate predictions of distortion, stress evolution, and residual stress during heat treatment.
