This animation shows an additive manufacturing example using a commercial welding subroutine. The animation shows several beads being laid down on a build plate, forming a small wall. Often these walls are then machined into mechanical test samples. QustomWeld is used to handle the complicated timing of elemental birth, integrated with DANTE material models for phase transformations and thermal properties. Top to bottom, left to right, the contours show Temperature (°C), austenite, pearlite, and ferrite volume fractions.
